The great builders of ancient Rome

Hardly any other city still has as many ancient buildings as in Rome. The reason for this is, on the one hand, the very special construction technique of the Romans, which we want to look at using the example of the Pantheon and Engelsburg. Both buildings are also connected with interesting stories. For example, we learn why there is a big hole in the dome of the Pantheon. Did you know how the Romans measured the time? How did the name of Castel Sant’Angelo come about and where did the Pope fled during the city’s enemy sieges? Were there poets and architects under the emperors? The answers to these and many other questions you will experience during this tour.
